Sessions with Donna are available online or by telephone, so you can talk things through from wherever feels most comfortable — your favourite armchair, the car after the school run, or even in your pyjamas with a cup of tea in hand. All you need is a quiet spot and some privacy — no commute, no traffic, and no awkward small talk in a waiting room with someone you vaguely recognise from the local shops.
Beyond the convenience, online and phone sessions means support is there for you no matter where you are. Whether that's fitting a session in on a lunch break, connecting from another town, or simply preferring the comfort of your own space over a therapist's office. Wherever you are and however you're feeling, we can still do good, meaningful work together — technology just handles the "getting there" part, so we can focus on what actually matters.

Can I get a rebate through Medicare?
Counsellors are currently unable to offer Medicare rebates through a Mental Health Care Plan. However, I understand that cost can be a barrier to accessing support, so I offer a reduced fee for service to anyone holding a Pension or Healthcare Card. If this applies to you or if you have any questions about fees, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can chat about your needs further.
What are the benefits of counselling with Doves Counselling?

You do not require a Mental Health Care Plan or referral from your GP to see a counsellor.
My fees are in line with typical gap fees.
Online sessions - how do they work?
Once you have booked your appointment a secure video link will be sent to you via email so you can access your online session. You will experience the same level of service and support as you would in-person. Payment can be made at the end of your session via secure payment link via debit card or credit card. Direct transfer is also available.
Online sessions are open to all Australia-wide.
